How to Sync Browser Data in Any Other Browser – Firefox to Chrome

Cloud Services like Drop box, Google Drive, One Drive and many other to sync our files, So that we can use the files on any device at any time. Without transferring manually data from one device to another. It is really cool thing which is saving lot of time and helping us to continue our work from any where. How would that be if we can also sync the browser data like bookmarks, History, Passwords, Add-ons and start using them on any device. Great! right.
Here in this post We explained How to sync your browser data from your Google Chrome,Firefox and Opera browsers.

Google Chrome:

  • As Google account is deeply integrated with Google products (Single sign-In account for multiple services) To use and manage the syncing features of your chrome browser,
  • Open settings by clicking on top right cornerof browser or just head over to chrome://settings

  • Google Chrome supports syncing of your browser data which include the Apps, Bookmarks, open Tabs, History, Auto Fill data, Passwords, Themes,  Settings and Extensions. These all are synced automatically, You can choose what ever you want to sync.
  • Google chrome also offers you a option in syncing the data in encrypted form and Not encrypted form.  And remember there is no way you can stop syncing your passwords in encrypted form but  can choose other data to be encrypted or not. By default Google chrome uses your Google account for encryption phrase. You can change the encryption to your own phrase but you are highly recommended to use the Google account for this use.
  • When you login into your new chrome browser all the data you selected will be automatically synced to the new chrome browser.

Firefox:

Firefox the browser powered by Open source community allows you to sync your browser information bookmarks, Add-ons , History, Passwords, Preferences, And tabs,  Firefox encrypts all your data on it’s servers. You can your data from any devices which Firefox supports by logging into the account. Unlike the Google chrome you can use any email account to link your account and remember to take back up copy of your recovery key if you loose it your data will be lost. So store it in a safe place.

Opera:

  • If you’re using Opera on a computer, click on the cloud icon in the lower left corner of the browser window, then select “Enable synchronization” and log in with your Opera account.
  • If you’re using Opera Mini on a phone or tablet, go to Menu > Settings > Opera Link, and then log in from there.
  • Once you’ve activated Opera Link, it will synchronize your favorite stuff from any device where you’ve logged in to the browser. Opera Link updates automatically whenever you make changes to your Speed Dial or add a new bookmarks.
  • And the best feature of opera is you need to have opera installed on the other system. All you need is just internet access , just login into link.opera.com to access your synced browser data.

Maxthon Browser:

Maxthon browser is built for especially for those who want every thing to be on cloud. If you want be a power cloud user then you can go with Maxthon Browser. Maxthon browser has so many cool features too. I had not used this cloud browser personally. I mentioned here based on my friend’s experience with Maxthon browser.
